Aceasta salata de castraveti zdrobiti, sumac, ridichi si ceapa este usor de facut si super potrivita pentru o cina rapida, servita atat simplu, alaturi de o lipie sau paine calda, cat si ca o garnitura pentru o friptura delicioasa la o masa festiva. O salata plina de arome orientale ce incununeaza prospetimea castravetilor.

INGREDIENTE / INGREDIENTS
(pentru 2 portii / for 2 servings)
- 3 castraveti / 3 cucumbers
- 1 ceapa rosie / 1 red onion
- 3 ridichi / 3 radishes
- 1 catel de usturoi / 1 garlic clove
- 150 grame iaurt grecesc / 150 grams greek yogurt
- 1/2 legatura marar / 1/2 bunch of dill
- 1/2 legatura menta / 1/2 bunch of mint
- 50 grame valeriana / 50 grams lambs lettuce
- 1/2 lingurita sumac / 1/2 teaspoon sumak
- 1/4 lingurita menta uscata / 1/2 teaspoon dried mint
- Sucul de la 1/2 lime / Juice from 1/2 lime
- 1 lingura otet din cidru de mere / 1 tablespoon cider apple vinegar
- 1 lingura ulei de masline / 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Sare / Salt

Curatam legumele si le spalam bine. Taiem ceapa pe jumatate apoi in felii subtiri. Presaram cu sare, 1/4 lingurita de sumac, otet si framantam usor cu mana. Lasam deoparte.
Intre timp crestam castravetii usor pe diagonala si ii strivim cu ajutorul unui sucitor. Ii presaram cu sare si ii lasam intr-o sita la scurs timp de 20 – 30 de minute.

La expirarea timpului ii mai presam putin intre palme si ii adaugam peste ceapa rosie, impreuna cu ridichile taiate felii, usturoiul zdrobit, valeriana si verdeturile taiate marunt. Adaugam ulei de masline, sucul de lime si sare daca mai este cazul.
Pentru crema de iaurt punem iaurtul intr-un bol si adaugam sare, sumac si menta uscata.

Amestecam si distribuim crema pe un platou mic. Aranjam deasupra salata si servim cu multa pofta ca aperitiv, alaturi de o lipie calda sau ca si garnitura in compania unui gratar.

Crushed Cucumbers, Sumac, Radishes and Onions Salad
This salad of crushed cucumbers with sumac, radishes and onions is easy to make and super suitable for a quick dinner, both served simply with a hot loaf or bread, and as a side dish for a delicious steak at a festive dinner. A salad full of oriental flavors that crowns the freshness of cucumbers.
Clean the vegetables and wash them well. Cut the onion in half and then into thin slices. Sprinkle with salt, 1/4 teaspoon of sumac, vinegar and knead lightly by hand. Leave it aside.
Meanwhile, cut the cucumbers slightly diagonally and crush them with the help of a rolling pin. Sprinkle them with salt and let them drain in a sieve for 20 – 30 minutes.
At the end of the time, press them a little more between the palms and add the red onion, along with the sliced radishes, crushed garlic, valerian and finely chopped greens. Add olive oil, lime juice and salt if necessary.
For the yogurt cream, put the yogurt in a bowl and add salt, sumac and dry mint.
Mix and distribute the cream on a small plate. Arrange the salad on top and serve with great appetite as an aperitif, alongside a hot pita bread or as a side dish alongside a barbecue.
