Asezat intr-un punct privilegiat, cu vedere panoramica asupra orasului vechi si a canionului, Crialoss este locul ideal pentru un pranz relaxat, unde timpul incetineste si fiecare detaliu conteaza.

Atmosfera imbina perfect eleganta discreta cu energia moderna, iar soarele care mangaie zidurile de piatra confera totul un aer aproape ireal.

Panorama asupra Sassi de pe terasa este pur si simplu uluitoare! Arcele din tuf, piatra expusa si fosilele de scoici amplifica farmecul si magia saloanelor elegante, sapate direct in stanca.

Dar pe langa panorama spectaculoasa, venisem aici sa si gustam cate ceva. Am ales un Chicken Club Sandwich generos – straturi perfecte de paine crocanta, pui fraged, bacon, salata si sos fin. Corect, delicios!    

Alaturi de acesta am comandat o selectie de bruschete. Am putut alege 3 dintre cele 12 modele disponibile asa ca am optat pentru: Classic (definitia simplitatii perfecte – felii de paine crocanta, rumenite exact cat trebuie, acoperite cu rosii cherry dulci si zemoase, stropite generos cu ulei extravirgin de masline si parfumate cu oregano si busuioc proaspat. Fiecare imbucatura aduce acel gust autentic de vara italiana, cand ingredientele vorbesc de la sine si totul se reduce la prospetime, echilibru si soare in farfurie).

Stracciatella & Pesto with tomatoes – o declaratie de dragoste pentru gustul autentic al sudului Italiei. Painea prajita, crocanta la exterior si moale in interior, este acoperita cu un strat generos de stracciatella cremoasa, peste care se intinde un pesto fin si aromat, completat de rosii dulci si zemoase. Texturile se intrepatrund perfect – crocant, catifelat, racoritor – iar fiecare imbucatura aduce un echilibru divin intre prospetime si savoare. Un mic deliciu italian care transforma o simpla bruscheta intr-un moment de rasfat pur.

Mortadella with straciatella & pistachio (un adevarat rasfat italian – un joc rafinat intre cremos, sarat si crocant. Baza de paine prajita perfect sustine un strat generos de stracciatella catifelata, peste care troneaza felii subtiri de mortadella fina, aromata si delicata. Finalul? O ploaie de fistic crocant, care adauga textura si un parfum subtil, usor dulceag. Rezultatul este un echilibru spectaculos intre eleganta si confort – un gust care iti ramane in minte mult dupa ultima imbucatura.

In pahare, un Aperol Spritz rece si stralucitor si un Virgin Mojito (o explozie de prospetime – lime zemos, menta proaspata si apa minerala rece intr-un echilibru racoritor, dulce-acrisor; un cocktail fara alcool, dar plin de energie si gust de vara italiana) au completat perfect tabloul culinar si lumina vibranta a dupa-amiezii.

Privind panorama incredibila a Materiei, intre cer, piatra si aroma de Aperol, am inteles ca la Crialòss – Café Bistrot traiesti o experienta cu adevarat cinematografica.

Un loc unde dolce vita intalneste farmecul salbatic al Basilicatei – si unde, pentru o clipa, chiar te simti parte dintr-un film cu James Bond.

In Matera, the city carved in stone and bathed in southern light, every view looks like a movie set. It’s no coincidence that scenes from “007 – No Time to Die” were filmed right here, and the terrace at Crialòss – Café Bistrot offers the same spectacular landscape that has enchanted both filmmakers and visitors alike. The scenery is so breathtaking that whatever you choose from the menu becomes an experience in itself – one so memorable that we just had to share it here: Crialòss – Café Bistrot Matera – A panoramic lunch with a taste of cinema!

Set in a privileged spot with a panoramic view of the old city and the canyon, Crialòss is the ideal place for a relaxed lunch, where time slows down and every detail matters.

The atmosphere perfectly blends understated elegance with modern energy, while the sunlight caressing the stone walls gives everything an almost surreal charm.

The view over the Sassi from the terrace is simply stunning! The tuff arches, exposed stone, and fossil shells enhance the charm and magic of the elegant dining rooms carved directly into the rock.

But beyond the spectacular panorama, we were there to taste something too. We chose a generous Chicken Club Sandwich – perfect layers of crispy bread, tender chicken, bacon, salad, and smooth sauce. Simple and delicious!

Alongside it, we ordered a selection of bruschette. We could pick 3 out of 12 available types, so we went for: Classic (the definition of perfect simplicity – slices of crispy bread, toasted just right, topped with sweet, juicy cherry tomatoes, generously drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, and scented with oregano and fresh basil. Every bite brings that authentic taste of Italian summer, when ingredients speak for themselves, and everything comes down to freshness, balance, and sunshine on the plate).

Stracciatella & Pesto with tomatoes – a love letter to the authentic flavor of southern Italy. The toasted bread, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, is covered with a generous layer of creamy stracciatella, topped with smooth, aromatic pesto and sweet, juicy tomatoes. The textures intertwine perfectly – crunchy, silky, refreshing – and each bite delivers a divine balance of freshness and flavor. A small Italian delight that turns a simple bruschetta into a pure indulgence.

Mortadella with stracciatella & pistachio – a true Italian treat, a refined play between creamy, salty, and crunchy. The perfectly toasted bread base supports a generous layer of velvety stracciatella, topped with thin slices of fine, aromatic mortadella. The final touch? A sprinkle of crunchy pistachios that add texture and a subtly sweet fragrance. The result is a spectacular balance between elegance and comfort – a flavor that stays with you long after the last bite.

In the glasses, a cold, sparkling Aperol Spritz and a Virgin Mojito (a burst of freshness – juicy lime, fresh mint, and chilled sparkling water in a refreshing sweet-and-sour balance; an alcohol-free cocktail full of energy and Italian summer flavor) perfectly completed the culinary scene and the vibrant afternoon light.

Gazing at the incredible panorama of Matera – between sky, stone, and the aroma of Aperol – we realized that at Crialòss – Café Bistrot you live a truly cinematic experience.

A place where dolce vita meets the wild charm of Basilicata – and where, for a moment, you actually feel like part of a James Bond movie.
