Pe faleza pitoreasca din Menton Garavan am descoperit La Mia Passione, un restaurant care imbina bucataria italiana autentica cu caldura unei ospitalitati rare. Experienta a fost cu atat mai speciala cu cat gazdele erau vechi cunostinte ale fiicei mele, transformand cina intr-un adevarat moment de prietenie si voie buna, dincolo de simpla degustare a preparatelor. Ospitalitatea si caldura italienilor este bine cunoscuta, insa pizza servita aici a avut, pe langa gustul desavarsit si un praf fin de prietenie sincera. Asadar, experienta calduroasa am asternut-o aici: La Mia Passione – Italia pe farfurie, prietenie in jurul mesei.
Restaurantul este intim si primitor, cu un design simplu dar elegant, unde fiecare detaliu te face sa te simti ca in Italia (care oricum este la cativa kilometri distanta). Lumina calda si atmosfera relaxata permit conversatii linistite, rasete si mici momente de rasfat intre farfurii.
Gusturi care cuceresc
Meniul este o sarbatoare a Italiei: antreuri tipic italienesti, paste facute in casa si bine inteles cea mai buna pizza!
In semn de pretuire pentru prietenia cu fiica mea, gazdele ne-au intampinat cu cate un pahar de Prosecco.
Am inceput cina cu burrata cremoasa, acompaniata de rosii coapte si dulci, alaturi de Prosciutto e Melone, felii subtiri de prosciutto usor sarat ce se imbina perfect cu dulceata pepenelui. Aceste combinatii simple, dar pline de savoare, au fost deschiderea perfecta pentru cea mai buna pizza ce urma sa urmeze, si au oferit primul contact cu eleganta si prospetimea bucatariei italiene autentice.
Am avut doua optiuni in materie de pizza, una mai reusita decat cealalta.
Pizza Burrata cu Prosciutto Crudo – o explozie de simplitate si rafinament italian! Blatul subtire si crocant este coapte perfect, iar burrata moale si cremoasa se topeste pe farfurie, imbinandu-se cu rosii coapte si ulei de masline extravirgin. Feliile delicate de prosciutto crudo adauga o nota subtil sarata si aromata, completand perfect textura catifelata a branzei. Fiecare imbucatura este un echilibru desavarsit intre savoare si prospetime, transformand pizza intr-o adevarata experienta gastronomica autentica.
Surpriza culinara a fost Pizza Chevre Miel – un echilibru irezistibil intre dulce si sarat! Blatul subtire si crocant gazduieste branza de capra cremoasa, topita delicat, peste care se adauga stropi generoase de miere ce ii confera o aroma calda si reconfortanta. Textura catifelata a branzei se imbina perfect cu dulceata fina a mierii, in timp ce crusta aurie aduce un contrast crocant. Fiecare imbucatura este o combinatie surprinzatoare si savuroasa, transformand pizza intr-un desert salat sofisticat, plin de savoare si caracter.
Nu a mai fost loc si de desert, desi gazdele ne-au imbiat cu un Tiramisu care arata pefect!
Experienta La Mia Passione
Ce a facut vizita cu adevarat memorabila a fost nu doar mancarea excelenta, cu cel mai autentic gust italienesc, ci si atmosfera calda si prietenoasa creata de gazde. Am ras, am schimbat impresii, am facut poze cu maestrul pizzer si ustensilele sale si am simtit cu adevarat ca suntem oaspeti bineveniti, intr-un loc unde mancarea este doar un pretext pentru a petrece timp frumos impreuna.
La Mia Passione Menton nu este doar un restaurant, ci un loc unde gustul italian se imbina cu prietenia, iar fiecare masa devine o amintire de pastrat.

On the picturesque seafront of Menton Garavan, we discovered La Mia Passione, a restaurant that blends authentic Italian cuisine with the warmth of rare hospitality. The experience was all the more special because the hosts happened to be old friends of my daughter’s, turning dinner into a true moment of friendship and joy — far beyond simply tasting the dishes. The hospitality and warmth of Italians are well known, but the pizza served here carried, beyond its perfect flavor, a fine dusting of genuine friendship. And so, this heartwarming experience found its way here: La Mia Passione – Italy on a plate, friendship around the table.
The restaurant is intimate and welcoming, with a simple yet elegant design where every detail makes you feel as if you’re in Italy (which, in fact, is just a few kilometers away). The warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere encourage quiet conversation, laughter, and small moments of indulgence between courses.
Flavors that captivate
The menu is a celebration of Italy itself: traditional Italian starters, homemade pasta, and of course — the best pizza!
As a gesture of friendship toward my daughter, the hosts welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco.
We began dinner with creamy burrata, accompanied by sweet roasted tomatoes, along with Prosciutto e Melone — thin slices of lightly salted prosciutto perfectly paired with the sweetness of ripe melon. These simple yet flavorful combinations were the perfect introduction to the main event — some of the best pizza we’ve ever had — offering a first taste of the freshness and elegance of authentic Italian cuisine.
We had two pizza options — both outstanding in their own way.
Pizza Burrata con Prosciutto Crudo – an explosion of simplicity and Italian refinement! The thin, crispy crust is baked to perfection, while the soft, creamy burrata melts beautifully, blending with roasted tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil. Delicate slices of prosciutto crudo add a subtly salty, aromatic touch that perfectly complements the smooth texture of the cheese. Every bite is a perfect balance of flavor and freshness, turning pizza into a truly authentic gastronomic experience.
The culinary surprise of the evening was Pizza Chèvre Miel – an irresistible balance of sweet and savory! The thin, golden crust holds creamy, gently melted goat cheese, topped with generous drizzles of honey that bring a warm, comforting aroma. The velvety cheese blends harmoniously with the delicate sweetness of the honey, while the crisp crust adds the perfect contrast. Every bite is a delightful and surprising combination, transforming pizza into a sophisticated, savory-sweet treat full of character.
There was no room left for dessert, though our hosts tempted us with a Tiramisu that looked absolutely perfect!
The La Mia Passione experience
What truly made the visit memorable wasn’t just the excellent food, with its genuine Italian taste, but the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the hosts. We laughed, shared stories, took photos with the master pizzaiolo and his tools, and genuinely felt like welcomed guests in a place where food is merely an excuse to enjoy time together.
