Aflati in zona Alicante, am vizitat acest loc la sfarsitul lunii septembrie, intr-o frumoasa zi insorita de toamna. Auzisem despre acest loc de la prietenii nostri care il vizitasera anterior. Asadar, desi aveam cateva asteptari, marea surpriza nu venise inca… Am lasat in urma asezarile zgomotoase, semnalul telefonului mobil si am ajuns in varful muntelui, chiar in mijlocul naturii salbatice, foarte aproape de Rai. Am fost intampinati de o atmosfera linistita, de frumusetea peisajului si in cele din urma de zambetul cald al gazdelor noastre.



Dupa salutul de bun venit, o serie de cocktailuri senzationale si-au facut aparitia. Nu suntem mari fani ai acestor bauturi, dar nu ne-am putut abtine sa gustam cate putin din fiecare. Si nu ne-am fi putut opri din degustat dar trebuia sa conducem inapoi catre hotel. Deci, un mic sfat, incercati sa ajungeti la Can Sueno fara sa trebuiasca sa conduceti. Pastrand inca aroma cocktail-urilor, am inceput sa explorez locul si sa fac cateva fotografii pentru albumul de calatorie. Pregatirile pentru servirea mesei erau in plina desfasurare. Totul era asezat la locul sau cu o precizie “deranjanta”. Am surprins sute de cadre si de fiecare data am avut senzatia ca mai erau multe lucruri noi, interesante pe care le voiam pe “retina” aparatului meu.

La ora 14:00, toti oaspetii au fost invitati sa asculte adevarata poveste a visului lor, spusa de catre gazde. Nu vreau sa o dezvalui aici deoarece as distruge cu siguranta toata magia. Tot ce pot sa va spun este ca toate au o legatura: felul in care ei au descoperit locatia, sursele de inspiratie pentru retele lor si nu in ultimul rand, bucuria de a-si impartasi visul.



Felurile de mancare au fost senzationale. Platingul era uimitor, iar gustul absolut divin. Si, dupa cum am spus inainte, fiecare fel de mancare isi avea propria poveste si sursa de inspiratie… Branza de capra, marzipanul si jeleul de lavanda cu ierburi si struguri erau desavarsite de un fum de ierburi aromatice. Era de fapt reprezentarea aburului care se ridica de pe pavajul si rocile fierbinti in timpul unei ploi de toamna dupa un sezon foarte secetos, chiar acolo, in mijlocul taramului viselor!






Dintr-o data am avut o revelatie … nu eram intr-un restaurant linistit care serveste mancare normala. Eram in mijlocul unui vis (visul lor), devenisem parte a lui si asta ma facea sa ma simt speciala. In final, as vrea sa mai clarific un singur lucru. Acesta nu este un restaurant tipic, este un loc unde iti doresti sa fii, sa traiesti si sa devii pentru cateva ore parte a sa. Mancarea nu este obisnuita, este ceva foarte aproape de arta, iar gazdele noastre nu sunt simpli bucatari, sunt ceva mai mult, sunt artisti care traiesc si impartasesc visul lor devenit realitate.


Va invit asadar sa visati!

In our trip to Alicante, we visited this place on late September 2018, on a beautiful autumn sunny day. We had heard about this place from our friends that were here before, few years ago. So, we had some expectation, but the big surprise was to yet come… We had let the noisy cities behind us, we had lost the phone signal and we reached the top of the mountain, right in the middle of wild nature, very close to Heaven. A peaceful atmosphere welcomed us when we got down from our cars, than the beauty of the landscape and finally the warm smile of our hosts. After the welcome greeting, some sensational cocktails occurred. I am not such a big fan of those drinks, but I couldn’t help but taste a little bit from each one. And I couldn’t have been stopped drinking but I had to drive back to our accommodation. So, a piece of advice: try to find a way to reach Can Sueño without driving… Having the taste of cocktails still strong on my tongue I started to explore the place and took some photos for my trip album. The preparations for setting up the table were on progress. Everything was set to it’s place with an annoying precision. I shot hundreds of frames and every time I had a strange feeling that there were more, new, exciting thing to have into my camera. And at 2PM sharp, all the guest were invited to hear the true story of their dream, told by the hostess. I don’t want to reveal it here, because I would definitely ruin the all magic. All I can say is that everything there has a connection: the way that they discovered the place, the sources of inspiration for their recipes and last but not least the joy of sharing their dream. The dishes ware quite sensational. The plating was outstanding and the taste was divine. And, as I said before, every dish had its own story and it’s source of inspiration… The goat cheese, marzipan and lavender jelly with figs and grapes ware completed by a smoke of aromatic herbs. It was the steam that is rising from the hot tiles and rocks during an autumn shower after a very dry season, there in the middle of the dreamland! Suddenly I had a revelation: I wasn’t in a normal restaurant having a regular food; I was in the middle of a dream (their dream), I became part of it and I was feeling special. In conclusion, I would like to clarify one more thing: this is not a proper restaurant, it is a place where you want to be, to live and to became, for a few hours a part of it. The food is not regular, it is something very close to art and our hosts are not simple cooks, they are much more, they are artists, living and sharing their dream came true.
