Aici, dimineata incepe cu o cafea cremoasa, perfecta, si un croissant Dama, cu foietaj fin, strat peste strat, care se topeste in contact cu crema de fistic sau vanilie.

Fiecare produs pare lucrat cu atentie aproape artizanala, iar vitrina este un adevarat spectacol cromatic – de la mini pavlova cu fructe de sezon, pana la prajiturile lucioase ce par opere de arta moderna.

Atmosfera e calda si minimalista, cu accente aurii si lumina difuza – genul de loc in care ramai mai mult decat ai planuit, doar ca sa mai bei o cafea si sa admiri felul in care localnicii isi savureaza ritualul matinal.

Pentru ca era ultima dimineata in Bari, am vrut parca sa luam cu noi cate un pic din fiecare gust al orasului – aroma cafelei, soarele bland al diminetii si bucuria simplitatii italiene. Asa ca am umplut tava fara sa ne gandim prea mult: croissante dulci si sarate, fragede si unturoase, alaturi de foccacia aurie, parfumata cu rosii si ulei de masline. O dimineata care a avut gust de ramas bun si promisiunea unei intoarceri.

Desi nu am comandat-o de la inceput, Foccacia Special si-a facut usor si rapid loc intr-o comanda ulterioara. Si nu aveai cum sa ii rezisti:o felie de soare pugliese! Blatul aerat, cu margini rumenite si usor crocante, sustine o explozie de rosii cherry dulci-acrisoare, coapte perfect si imbratisate de ulei extravirgin de masline. Cateva masline negre adauga acea nota sarata si intensa care echilibreaza gustul si transforma fiecare muscatura intr-o poveste despre Bari si aromele sale de la malul marii. Simplu, autentic si absolut memorabil.

Dama nu e doar o simpla bakery – este o experienta senzoriala, un tribut adus esteticii italiene si gustului impecabil.

Fie ca alegi sa te opresti pentru un mic dejun tarziu sau pentru o pauza dulce intre plimbari, locul acesta iti reaminteste de ce in Italia chiar si o prajitura poate fi o declaratie de stil.

In the heart of Bari, just a few steps away from the bustle of the old town, lies Dama Italian Bakery – a place that feels like it was taken from a dream scented with butter, espresso, and powdered sugar. A modern patisserie with the soul of a gourmet atelier, where every croissant, tartlet, or pastry carries the imprint of Italian refinement and a passion for detail. We tried this spot on our last day in Bari and satisfaction was guaranteed: Dama Italian Bakery Bari – The sweet elegance of Italian mornings.

Here, the morning begins with a creamy, perfect coffee and a Dama croissant, with its fine, layered pastry that melts the moment it meets pistachio or vanilla cream.

Every product seems crafted with almost artisanal care, and the display is a true chromatic spectacle – from mini pavlovas topped with seasonal fruit to glossy pastries that look like modern art pieces.

The atmosphere is warm and minimalist, with golden accents and soft light – the kind of place where you stay longer than planned, just to sip another coffee and admire the way locals enjoy their morning ritual.

Because it was our last morning in Bari, we wanted to take with us a little bit of every taste of the city – the aroma of coffee, the soft morning sun, and the joy of Italian simplicity. So we filled our tray without thinking too much: sweet and savory croissants, flaky and buttery, alongside golden focaccia scented with tomatoes and olive oil. A morning that tasted like a farewell and the promise of a return.

Although we didn’t order it at first, the Special Focaccia easily made its way into a later order. And you couldn’t resist it: a slice of Puglian sunshine! The airy base, with its slightly crispy, browned edges, holds an explosion of sweet-and-tangy cherry tomatoes, perfectly roasted and embraced by extra virgin olive oil. A few black olives add that salty, intense note that balances the flavor and transforms every bite into a story about Bari and its seaside aromas. Simple, authentic, and absolutely memorable.

Dama is not just a bakery – it is a sensory experience, a tribute to Italian aesthetics and impeccable taste.
