La Mita Biciclista este unul dintre acele restaurante care, in sezonul rece, capata un farmec aparte. Decorata festiv, cu lumini calde, brad impodobit si detalii elegante, locatia te poarta intr-o alta epoca, unde rafinamentul si tihna erau la ordinea zilei. Este acel tip de loc care te invita sa incetinesti, sa te asezi confortabil la masa si sa te bucuri de fiecare detaliu, de la decor pana la gusturi. Vara aceasta am descoperit Brasseria de la Mita Biciclista intr-un context diferit, la micul dejun, o experienta despre care am povestit pe larg in articolul La Mita Biciclista Brasserie – mic dejun cu poveste. Gusturile, atmosfera si atentia la detalii ne-au ramas in minte, asa ca a venit firesc dorinta de a reveni. De data aceasta, curiozitatea ne-a purtat inapoi in sezonul rece, pentru a vedea locatia imbracata in straie de sarbatoare si pentru a trai o experienta complet diferita, dar la fel de speciala.

O atmosfera care te scoate din graba cotidiana. In serile de iarna, La Mita Biciclista devine un refugiu urban. Interiorul elegant, cu influente Belle Époque, este completat perfect de decorul de sarbatori, care aduce un plus de intimitate si caldura. Este genul de loc unde simti ca timpul incetineste, iar o cina se transforma intr-o experienta traita pe indelete, nu intr-o simpla masa.

Bucatarie care imbina traditia cu rafinamentul. Meniul este gandit pentru a oferi preparate consistente, ideale pentru sezonul rece, dar pastrand acel aer sofisticat specific locatiei. Gusturile sunt echilibrate, prezentarea este atent lucrata, iar fiecare farfurie vine cu senzatia de confort si rasfat. Fie ca alegi un preparat clasic reinterpretat sau o optiune mai moderna, mancarea completeaza perfect atmosfera eleganta din jur.

O cina care devine ritual. La Mita Biciclista nu este doar despre ce mananci, ci despre cum te simti. Un pahar de vin bun, o masa asezata fara graba, conversatii lungi si muzica discreta pe fundal – toate contribuie la o seara care se simte speciala. Este locul potrivit pentru o cina romantica, o iesire cu prietenii sau o celebrare linistita in perioada sarbatorilor.

Am incercat in deschidere Ouale Mimosa aux Truffes de la La Mita Biciclista – un aperitiv fin, cu aer parizian si gust elegant. Umplutura cremoasa de maioneza delicata si salsa de trufe imbraca perfect albusul, iar feliile subtiri de trufe adauga profunzime si un parfum sofisticat. Presarate cu chives proaspete si galbenus ras fin, aceste oua sunt echilibrate, onctuoase si extrem de rafinate. Un preparat simplu in aparenta, dar cu un impact mare, perfect pentru a deschide o masa savurata pe indelete.

Tot la aperitiv, nu am putut rezista si unui Platou cu sardine ce surprinde inca de la prima vedere prin ideea inedita de prezentare, care transforma un preparat simplu intr-o experienta cu personalitate. Sardinele sunt servite direct in cutia metalica, asa cum vin ele, pastrandu-si aerul autentic si usor nostalgic. Alaturi, branza Brie fina, untul sarat d’Isigny, castravetii murati si maslinele verzi completeaza perfect gustul intens al pestelui. Totul este insotit de paine baguette proaspata, rezultand un platou relaxat, savuros si extrem de bine gandit, ideal pentru impartit si savurat fara graba.

La felul principal am ales sa impartim un Steak de conopida cu humus – un preparat vegetal surprinzator de reconfortant si plin de gust. Conopida este gatita atent, cu textura frageda si note usor caramelizate, asezata peste un strat generos de humus cremos. Sosul chimichurri aduce prospetime si un accent aromatic bine echilibrat, in timp ce migdalele crocante completeaza farfuria cu un contrast placut de texturi. Un preparat simplu, dar inteligent construit, care demonstreaza ca bucataria vegetariana poate fi la fel de savuroasa si satisfacatoare. Am impartit si o portie de Sole meuniere – un clasic rafinat, gatit cu grija si respect pentru ingredient. File de peste Sole, rumenit delicat in unt aromat, cu o crusta aurie si miez fraged, este asezat elegant langa un buchet de legume proaspete: broccoli crocant, baby morcovi colorati si conopida fina, toate desavarsite cu patrunjel verde, proaspat. Un preparat echilibrat, luminos si savuros, exact asa cum il savurezi la Mita Biciclista.

Orice masa la Mita nu se poate incheia fara deserturile spectaculoase din Cofertaria deja celebra. Este foarte greu sa te decizi tinand cont de descrierea din meniu, iar daca faci greseala sa te duci sa te imprietenesti cu vitrina de la parter, misiunea devine imposibila! Dupa lungi deliberari, ne-am oprit la doua din ele:
Paris-Brest Pistache – un desert spectaculos si decadent, care rasfata toate simturile. Aluat choux aerat, copt perfect, se imbina cu un biscuit crocant si un strat generos de praline de fistic, completat de o crema fina, catifelata, intens aromata. Totul este imbracat intr-un strat bogat de fistic crocant, pentru un contrast irezistibil de texturi si gust. O interpretare eleganta si indulgenta, semnata de La Mita Biciclista.

Tarte pécan – un desert elegant si reconfortant, cu arome calde si texturi bogate. Aluatul fraged, copt uniform, adaposteste un strat generos de crema frangipane cu nuci pecan, completata de o crema fina de nuci pecan. Deasupra, nucile pecan caramelizate, lucioase si crocante, adauga profunzime si un echilibru perfect intre dulce si intens. Un rasfat clasic reinterpretat cu finete, asa cum il gasesti doar aici.

This summer, we discovered La Mita Biciclista Brasserie in a different setting, at breakfast—a full experience we shared in detail in the article La Mita Biciclista Brasserie – a breakfast with a story. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail stayed with us, so returning felt only natural. This time, our curiosity brought us back in the cold season, to see the venue dressed in festive attire and to experience something completely different, yet just as special.
An atmosphere that pulls you out of everyday rush. On winter evenings, La Mita Biciclista becomes an urban refuge. The elegant interior, with Belle Époque influences, is perfectly complemented by the holiday décor, adding warmth and intimacy. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down, and dinner turns into an experience meant to be savored—not just a quick meal.
Cuisine that blends tradition with refinement. The menu is designed to offer hearty dishes, ideal for the cold season, while preserving the sophisticated air that defines the venue. Flavors are well balanced, presentation is carefully crafted, and each plate brings a sense of comfort and indulgence. We started with the Oeufs Mimosa aux Truffes at La Mita Biciclista—an elegant appetizer with a Parisian flair and refined taste. The creamy filling of delicate mayonnaise and truffle salsa perfectly coats the egg whites, while thin truffle slices add depth and a sophisticated aroma. Finished with fresh chives and finely grated egg yolk, these eggs are balanced, rich, and extremely refined. A dish that seems simple at first glance, yet makes a strong impression—perfect for opening a meal meant to be enjoyed slowly.
Also among the starters, we couldn’t resist the Sardine Platter, which surprises from the very first glance with its original presentation, turning a simple dish into an experience with personality. The sardines are served directly in their metal tin, just as they come, preserving an authentic and slightly nostalgic feel. Alongside, smooth Brie cheese, salted Isigny butter, pickled cucumbers, and green olives perfectly complement the intense flavor of the fish. Everything is served with fresh baguette, resulting in a relaxed, flavorful, and very well-thought-out platter—ideal for sharing and savoring without rush.
For the main course, we chose to share a Cauliflower Steak with Hummus—a surprisingly comforting and flavorful plant-based dish. The cauliflower is carefully cooked, tender with lightly caramelized notes, placed over a generous layer of creamy hummus. The chimichurri sauce adds freshness and a well-balanced aromatic touch, while crunchy almonds complete the plate with a pleasant contrast of textures. A simple yet smartly constructed dish, proving that vegetarian cuisine can be just as satisfying and delicious. We drew inspiration from this dish to create our own Cauliflower Steak with Pomegranate Dressing, the recipe of which you’ll find on the blog in our way.
We also shared a portion of Sole Meunière—a refined classic, prepared with care and respect for the ingredient. Delicately pan-fried sole fillet in aromatic butter, with a golden crust and tender flesh, is elegantly paired with a bouquet of fresh vegetables: crunchy broccoli, colorful baby carrots, and delicate cauliflower, all finished with fresh green parsley. A balanced, bright, and flavorful dish, exactly as you’d expect at La Mita Biciclista.
No meal at La Mita can end without exploring the spectacular desserts from the now-famous Cofetăria. Choosing is incredibly difficult just by reading the menu—and if you make the mistake of stopping by the display case downstairs, the mission becomes impossible! After long deliberation, we settled on two.
Paris-Brest Pistachio—a spectacular and decadent dessert that indulges all the senses. Perfectly baked airy choux pastry meets a crunchy biscuit base and a generous layer of pistachio praline, complemented by a smooth, velvety, intensely aromatic cream. Everything is coated in a rich layer of crunchy pistachio for an irresistible contrast of textures and flavors. An elegant and indulgent interpretation, signed by La Mita Biciclista.
Pecan Tart—an elegant and comforting dessert with warm aromas and rich textures. The tender, evenly baked crust holds a generous layer of pecan frangipane, complemented by a smooth pecan cream. On top, caramelized pecans—glossy and crunchy—add depth and a perfect balance between sweetness and intensity. A classic indulgence reinterpreted with finesse, just as you’ll find it here.
