INGREDIENTE (pentru 4 portii)

  • 1 foaie de aluat de foietaj (400 g)
  • 75 g crema de branza Ile de France
  • 100 g sunca
  • 150 g cascaval
  • 1 ou
  • 2 lingurite seminte de susan (albe sau mix alb-negru)

Desfacem aluatul de foietaj si intindem pe jumatate din el crema de branza. Deasupra punem sunca taiata fasii subtiri si presaram din belsug cascavalul ras.

Acoperim totul cu cealalta jumatate de aluat si presam bine marginile pentru a sigila compozitia.

Ungem cu ou batut si presaram seminte de susan – cele mixte arata spectaculos, dar merg si simple. Introducem in cuptorul preincalzit la 200°C timp de 10 minute, apoi reducem temperatura la 170°C si mai lasam inca 10 minute, pana cand foietajul e bine crescut si rumenit frumos.

Lasam cateva minute sa se raceasca, apoi taiem in patrate generoase.

Se serveste cald, alaturi de un pahar rece de kefir cremos de la Artesana – match perfect pentru un contrast intre crocant si racoritor. Merge si cu o salata fresh, daca vrei o varianta mai light.

Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry

Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry – the crispy bundle of indulgence! When you need something quick, crunchy, and incredibly tasty — but want it to look like you worked harder than you actually did — this ham and cheese puff pastry is just the thing. It takes 5 minutes to prep, 20 minutes to bake, and disappears in 3. Perfect for a weekend breakfast, brunch, a warm snack, or even a quick dinner.

INGREDIENTS (serves 4):

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (400 g)
  • 75 grams Ile de France cream cheese
  • 100 grams ham
  • 150 grams cheese (grated)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds (white or black & white mix)

Unroll the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese over half of it. Layer the thinly sliced ham on top, then sprinkle generously with grated cheese.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal.

Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds — the mixed ones look fancy, but plain ones work just as well.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 10 minutes, then lower the temperature to 170°C (340°F) and bake for another 10 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden.

Let cool for a few minutes, then cut into generous squares.

Serve warm, ideally with a cold glass of creamy kefir from Artesana — the perfect match of crispy and refreshing. It also goes great with a fresh salad if you’re looking for a lighter option.
