INGREDIENTE (pentru 2 portii)
- 150 grame orez pentru sushi
- 150 grame lapte de cocos
- 50 grame zahar
- Un praf de sare
- Mango

Mango Sticky Rice
Mango Sticky Rice – the creamy, exotic and absolutely irresistible Thai dessert! Mango Sticky Rice is one of those desserts that seem simple, yet they amaze you from the very first spoonful. The combination of sticky rice, silky coconut milk and ripe, fragrant mango creates a perfect balance between sweet, creamy and fresh. It’s Thailand’s iconic dessert, served everywhere — on the streets, in restaurants and in local homes — and the best part is that you can easily make it at home with just a few ingredients, achieving a magical result.
The texture is incredibly smooth, the coconut aroma is just right, and the mango brings that fresh, fruity and bright contrast that turns the whole dessert into a tropical-vacation moment. It’s the perfect treat for days when you want something exotic, special, but super easy to prepare. You can serve it warm or cold, in cups, bowls or directly on a plate – either way, it looks stunning and disappears instantly.
INGREDIENTS (for 2 servings)
- 150 grams sushi rice
- 150 grams coconut milk
- 50 grams sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Mango
We start by placing the rice in a large bowl and leaving it to soak for two hours. This step helps the grains absorb water and become perfectly sticky after cooking. Once hydrated, we steam it for about 60 minutes, until soft, glossy and slightly elastic — exactly what sticky rice should be.
When the rice is ready, we transfer it into cups or a bowl and prepare the aromatic coconut sauce. In a small saucepan, we add the coconut milk, sugar and salt, then cook everything over low heat for five minutes, stirring gently until the sugar dissolves completely and the sauce becomes smooth and fragrant.
We pour the hot sauce over the rice, allowing the grains to absorb the flavors and become creamy and shiny. We peel the mango and cut it into thick, beautiful slices, then arrange them next to the coconut sticky rice. The combination of the mango’s natural sweetness with the warm, sticky and fragrant rice is absolutely perfect.
Serve Mango Sticky Rice warm for an ultra-creamy experience or chilled for a fresh, cooling version. Either way, it’s an exotic, elegant and easy-to-make dessert, ideal for impressing anyone.
