INGREDIENTE (pentru 4 portii)

  • 250 grame branza de vaci
  • 1 ou
  • 70 grame gris
  • 45 grame faina
  • 50 grame unt
  • 100 grame pesmet
  • 50 grame zahar
  • Sare
Papanasi fierti

Intr-un bol incapator, amestecam branza de vaci cu oul, grisul si un praf de sare, pana cand compozitia devine omogena. Adaugam treptat faina si continuam sa mixam pana cand aceasta este complet incorporata.

Papanasi fierti

Cand apa incepe sa clocoteasca, umezim o lingura, formam papanasii si ii introducem cu grija in apa. Fierbem fiecare papanas aproximativ 5 minute pe fiecare parte. Dupa fierbere, ii scoatem, ii scurgem bine si ii tavalim prin pesmetul rumenit.

Papanasi fierti

Papanasii se servesc calzi, alaturi de smantana si cu multa pofta.

No frying, no fuss — just authentic flavor and sweet memories, just like in the old days. Follow our step-by-step recipe and let yourself be won over by the traditional taste of Romanian Cheese Dumplings!

INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings)

  • 250 g cow’s cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 70 grams semolina
  • 45 grams flour
  • 50 grams butter
  • 100 grams breadcrumbs
  • 50 grams sugar
  • A pinch of salt

In a large bowl, mix the cow’s cheese with the egg, semolina, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Gradually add the flour and continue mixing until fully incorporated.

Separately, melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Once melted, add the breadcrumbs and toast them, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Remove from heat and mix in the sugar.

Bring a deep pot of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, wet a spoon, shape the dumplings, and gently place them into the pot. Boil each dumpling for about 5 minutes on each side. After boiling, drain well and roll them through the toasted breadcrumb mixture.

Serve the dumplings warm, topped with sour cream and lots of appetite!
