Guacamole-ul facut in casa este o cu totul alta poveste fata de variantele din comert — avocado cremos, ceapa rosie, ardei iute, patrunjel proaspat si suc de lamaie, totul amestecat grosier pentru o textura rustica si autentica. Iar salata de ceapa marinata in suc de lamaie si ulei de masline adauga acea note proaspata si usor acrisoara care echilibreaza perfect bogatia avocado-ului si intensitatea crevetilor condimentati. INGREDIENTE (pentru 3 portii)
Pentru tacos:
- 6 lipii mici
- 500 grame creveti
- 2 linguri condiment pentru tacos CIO
- 2 lingurite ulei de masline
- sare
Pentru guacamole:
- 2 avocado
- 40 grame ceapa rosie
- ½ ardei rosu iute
- 6 fire patrunjel verde
- 1 lingura suc de lamaie
- sare
Pentru salata de ceapa:
- ½ ceapa rosie
- 1 lingura suc de lamaie
- 1 lingurita ulei de masline
- sare

Incepem prin a marina crevetii — cel mai important pas pentru un gust intens si autentic. Ii punem intr-un bol si adaugam mixul de condimente pentru tacos de la CIO, sarea si uleiul de masline. Amestecam bine astfel incat fiecare crevet sa fie acoperit uniform cu condimente. Acoperim si lasam la rece timp de 30 de minute — condimentele patrund adanc si transforma crevetii simpli intr-o vedeta a farfuriei!
In timp ce crevetii se marineaza, pregatim salata de ceapa. Taiem ceapa rosie in felii foarte subtiri, o punem intr-un bol mic si o asezonam cu sare, suc de lamaie si ulei de masline. Amestecam si o lasam si pe ea sa se marineze — aciditatea lamaii va inmuia ceapa si va echilibra gustul.

Trecem la guacamole — simplu, rapid si incomparabil mai bun decat din comert. Curatam ardeiul iute de seminte si vine pentru o varianta mai putin picanta, sau il pastram intreg pentru cei carora le place intensitatea. Punem in blender sau tocam marunt ceapa rosie impreuna cu ardeiul iute. Adaugam patrunjelul verde tocat marunt, avocado copt, sucul de lamaie si sarea. Mixam sau zdrobim cu furculita pana obtinem o compozitie grosiera, cu bucatele — nu vrem o pasta prea fina, ci un guacamole rustic si autentic. Gustam si ajustam condimentele dupa preferinta.

Incalzim o tigaie la foc mare si adaugam o lingurita de ulei de masline. Adaugam crevetii marinati si ii prajim rapid — aproximativ 2 minute — pana devin roz si usor caramelizati la exterior. Nu ii prajim prea mult, altfel devin tari!
Asamblam tacos-urile — pe fiecare lipie intindem un strat generos de guacamole proaspat, adaugam crevetii fierbinti, salata de ceapa marinata si, pentru cei care iubesc picantul, extra felii de ardei iute. Servim imediat, cat totul este cald si proaspat!

Tacos with Prawns and Guacamole
There are recipes that instantly bring a sense of joy — colourful, aromatic, full of life and ready in less than an hour. Tacos with prawns and guacamole is exactly one of them. Prawns marinated with the special CIO taco seasoning mix, quickly fried until pink and succulent, placed on a bed of fresh creamy guacamole, completed with marinated red onion salad and chilli slices — a combination that makes you hungry at first glance and wins you over at the very first bite! Homemade guacamole is a completely different story from shop-bought versions — creamy avocado, red onion, chilli, fresh parsley and lemon juice, all mixed roughly for a rustic and authentic texture. And the onion salad marinated in lemon juice and olive oil adds that fresh and slightly tangy note that perfectly balances the richness of the avocado and the intensity of the seasoned prawns. Quick, cheerful and absolutely spectacular on the table — Tacos with prawns and guacamole is the perfect dish for a tex-mex dinner at home, an evening with friends or any time you want to bring a touch of Mexico into your kitchen! 🌮🥑✨
INGREDIENTS (for 3 servings)
For the tacos:
- 6 small flatbreads
- 500 grams prawns
- 2 tablespoons CIO taco seasoning
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- salt
For the guacamole:
- 2 avocados
- 40 grams red onion
- ½ red chilli
- 6 sprigs fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- salt
For the onion salad:
- ½ red onion
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- salt
We start by marinating the prawns — the most important step for an intense and authentic flavour. Place them in a bowl and add the CIO taco seasoning mix, salt and olive oil. Mix well so that each prawn is evenly coated with the seasoning. Cover and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes — the seasoning penetrates deeply and transforms simple prawns into the star of the dish!
While the prawns are marinating, prepare the onion salad. Slice the red onion very thinly, place in a small bowl and season with salt, lemon juice and olive oil. Mix and leave to marinate as well — the acidity of the lemon will soften the onion and balance the flavour.
Now for the guacamole — simple, quick and incomparably better than anything from a shop. Remove the seeds and veins from the chilli for a milder version, or keep it whole for those who like the intensity. Place in a blender or finely chop the red onion together with the chilli. Add the finely chopped parsley, ripe avocado, lemon juice and salt. Blend or mash with a fork until you get a coarse, chunky mixture — we don’t want a too-smooth paste, but a rustic and authentic guacamole. Taste and adjust the seasoning to preference.
Heat a pan over high heat and add one teaspoon of olive oil. Add the marinated prawns and fry quickly — approximately 2 minutes — until they turn pink and are slightly caramelised on the outside. Don’t overcook them, otherwise they become tough!
Assemble the tacos — on each flatbread spread a generous layer of fresh guacamole, add the hot prawns, marinated onion salad and, for those who love spice, extra chilli slices. Serve immediately, while everything is warm and fresh!
