INGREDIENTE (pentru 4 portii)
- 500 grame gaturi de curcan
- 1 morcov
- 1 radacina pastarnac
- 1 radacina patrunjel
- 1 felie telina
- 1/2 ardei
- 2 cepe mici
- 250 ml bors
- 2 linguri pasta de tomate
- 2 linguri pasta de ardei
- 1 legatura de leustean
- 1 legatura de patrunjel
- Sare

Turkey Soup
For a delicious, traditional Romanian soup, turkey necks are the perfect ingredient, bringing a rich flavor and tender texture that blend beautifully with vegetables and tangy borș. This recipe, ideal for chilly days, is simple to make and full of flavor, complemented by fresh herbs like lovage and parsley. Whether you use the Tefal One Pot for quick cooking or the classic method, you’ll create a tasty, hearty turkey borscht, perfect to enjoy with hot peppers and fresh bread.
INGREDIENTS (for 4 servings)
- 500 grams turkey necks
- 1 carrot
- 1 parsnip root
- 1 parsley root
- 1 slice of celery root
- 1/2 bell pepper
- 2 small onions
- 250 ml borscht
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons pepper paste
- 1 bunch of lovage
- 1 bunch of parsley
- Salt
This time, I chose to use the Tefal One Pot, but you can also prepare the soup in a traditional pot, adjusting the cooking time for a slow, flavorful simmer.
Begin by boiling 1.5 liters of water. When it reaches a boil, add the turkey necks, cover with the lid, and set to pressure cooking mode for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables by cleaning and dicing them. When the cooking time ends, depressurize the pot, add the vegetables and salt, cover again, and select the „Soup” program for another 20 minutes.
After the second cooking stage, depressurize once more, then add the tomato paste, pepper paste, and warmed borscht. Select the „Soup” function for a final 5 minutes, and at the end, add the finely chopped herbs.
Serve the hot soup alongside hot peppers, fresh bread, and plenty of appetite!
