INGREDIENTE (pentru 3 portii)
- 1 kg coaste
- 2 linguri ulei de masline
- 2 cepe
- 50 ml apa
- 330 ml bere
- 3 linguri pasta de ardei
- Sare
- Piper

Pork Ribs with Pepper and Beer Sauce
Tender ribs, bathed in a flavorful pepper and beer sauce? Yes, that is exactly what we are cooking today! A recipe that smells so good, the neighbors might just knock on your door “by accident.” The ribs brown beautifully, the sauce becomes thick and sticky, and the beer gives them that special, unforgettable taste. We prepare them quickly using a multicooker – perfect for those who want rich flavor without the hassle. And if you do not have a Tefal One Pot at hand, no problem: it works just as well on the stovetop, with a bit more patience. Let us see how a few simple ingredients can turn into a meal worthy of applause!
INGREDIENTS (for 3 servings)
- 1 kg ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 onions
- 50 ml water
- 330 ml beer
- 3 tablespoons pepper paste
- Salt
- Black pepper
For this recipe, I chose to use the Tefal One Pot multicooker because of the speed it offers and the deep flavor it brings to the food. However, if you do not have a multicooker, the recipe can easily be adapted for traditional cooking, simply by increasing the cooking time accordingly.
So, let us get to work! Start by cutting the ribs into smaller pieces and sprinkle them with salt. Let them rest in the fridge overnight so they become tender and absorb the flavors. The next day, take them out about an hour before cooking so they reach room temperature.
Heat the Tefal One Pot, add two tablespoons of olive oil, and brown the ribs for about two minutes on each side. Then transfer them to a separate bowl. In the same pot, add the onions sliced into thin wedges, along with 50 ml of water, and let them soften slightly. After a few minutes, return the ribs to the pot, season with freshly ground black pepper, and pour in the beer.
Secure the lid, select the pressure cooking program, set it to medium, and cook for 30 minutes. Once the program is finished, release the pressure, add the pepper paste, and activate the “Bake” function for another 15 minutes to get a rich and thick sauce.
Serve the tender ribs with fluffy mashed potatoes and a fresh green salad.
