Cu ajutorul unei farfurii, intoarcem omleta astfel incat feliile de paine sa ajunga direct in tigaie.

Club Sandwich with Omelette, Sausage & Cheese
Club sandwich with omelette, sausage & cheese – the kind of combo that makes you go “WOW!” at the first bite! Got 10 minutes, a forgotten sausage in the fridge and a couple of eggs chilling in their carton? Perfect, because today we’re making a hot, crispy sandwich that’s as fast as it is delicious! It’s like a fancy breakfast, but honestly? It works just as well for lunch or dinner – especially when you want something tasty and filling, without ending up with a pile of dishes. Spoiler alert: this is the kind of recipe you make once… and then dream about it at night. The omelette is soft and flavorful, the sausage brings that smoky goodness, the cheese melts like a dream, and the toasted bread adds the perfect crunch. And the best part? It all folds up in the most genius way (watch the video!) and looks super satisfying when sliced diagonally.
INGREDIENTS (for 1 serving)
- 2 eggs
- 100 g smoked sausage
- 40 g soft cheese (or any melting cheese)
- 1 green onion
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Toast the bread slices in half a tablespoon of olive oil until golden and crisp on both sides. Set them aside – they’re the VIP guests of this sandwich.
In the same pan, add the rest of the oil and the sliced sausage. Let them sizzle until nicely browned, then pour in the beaten eggs with a pinch of salt.
Sprinkle crumbled cheese and chopped green onion right on top – this is when the flavors start dancing together.
Place the toasted bread slices in the middle of the omelette, side by side, leaving a small gap between them.
Now comes the fun part: use a flat plate to flip the omelette, so the bread ends up facing the pan. Fold the sides of the omelette inward, then fold the whole thing in half to sandwich the bread slices together. (Watch the video for the folding trick!)
Slice it diagonally, serve with a fresh salad or pickles… and devour it while it’s still warm and melty.
