Pui inabusit cu usturoi sau pui ca la mamaia. Aceasta reteta imi aminteste de copilaria mea si de vacantele minunate petrecute la bunica. Desi gustul de altadata al puiul crescut sanatos in ograda nu se compara cu cel actual, reteta aceasta merita incercata deoarece se pregateste foarte repede si este deosebit de gustoasa. Pui fraged scaldat in sos de usturoi alaturi de o mamaliguta fierbinte e o combinatie ideala pentru o masa de pranz.

INGREDIENTE / INGREDIENTS

(pentru 4 portii / for 8 servings)

  • 8 copane de pui / 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 lingura ulei / 1 tablespoon oil
  • 400 ml apa / 400 ml water
  • 1 lingurita sare / 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 catei de usturoi / 10 garlic cloves

Primul pas este sa parlim si sa curatam foarte bine copanele de pui. Le stergem apoi cu un servet absorbant si le presaram cu sare. Le lasam la rece 2 – 3 ore.

Incingem intr-o cratita uleiul si prajim usor copanele de pui timp de 2 minute pe fiecare parte. Adaugam 200 ml de apa si acoperim cu un capac. Gatim la foc mic timp de 30 de minute. Adaugam apoi restul de apa si continuam sa gatim pentru 25 de minute.

Adaugam usturoiul zdrobit si mai gatim pentru 5 minute, intorcand puiul prin sosul de usturoi la jumatatea timpului.

Servim puiul cu sos de usturoi cu mamaliguta calda si cu multa pofta.

Intregim acest preparat cu un pahar de Negru de Valahia de la Crama Stramutata, un Merlot obtinut din primii struguri culesi din vita-de-vie tanara. Este un vin rosu cu buchet floral caracteristic, cu un continut ponderat de tanin.

Chicken with Garlic Sauce

Chicken with garlic sauce or my grandma’s chicken. This recipe reminds me of my childhood and the wonderful holidays spent at my grandmother’s. Although the old taste of the chicken raised healthy does not compare with the current one, this recipe is worth trying because it is prepared very quickly and is particularly tasty. Tender chicken bathed in garlic sauce with a hot polenta is an ideal combination for a lunch.

The first step is to clean the chicken drumsticks very well. Then wipe them with an absorbent napkin and sprinkle them with salt. Let them cool for 2-3 hours.

Heat the oil in a saucepan and gently fry the chicken legs for 2 minutes on each side. Add 200 ml of water and cover with a lid. Cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Then add the rest of the water and continue cooking for 25 minutes.

Add the crushed garlic and cook for another 5 minutes, turning the chicken through the garlic sauce halfway through.

Serve the chicken with garlic sauce with hot polenta and with great appetite.

We complete this dish with a glass of Negru de Wallahia from Crama Stramutata, a Merlot obtained from the first grapes picked from young vines. It is a red wine with a characteristic floral bouquet, with a balanced tannin content.
