- 500 grame faina / 500 grams flour
- 350 ml apa calda / 350 ml warm water
- 1 lingurita sare / 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 lingurita zahar / 1 teaspoon sugar
- 20 grame drojdie proaspata / 20 grams fresh yeast
- 3 linguri patrunjel verde tocat marunt / 3 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
- 2 linguri unt topit / 2 tablespoons melted butter

English version
Pita Bread with Garlic and Parsley
Pita Bread with Garlic and Parsley… nothing simpler, nothing more spectacular! I have no words to express the flavors you feel when you break a hot bread. Ideal with an authentic gyros, a generous portion of Shish Tawook skewers or some absolutely delicious Turkish eggs with Ricotta.
Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with salt. Make a whole in the middle and add the yeast, sugar and 100 ml of warm water. Leave to rest for 10 minutes, then add the rest of the water and knead, with the help of a mixer or by hand.
Move the dough to a bowl greased with a small quantity of olive oil and leave to rest for an hour. When the time is up, turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a sphere.
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape them into small spheres. Cover with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Stretch each sphere into a disk with a diameter of 20 centimeters. Heat a pan well and fry each bread on both sides on medium heat until they are nicely browned.
In the meantime, mix melted butter with olive oil, finely chopped parsley and crushed garlic. Grease each stick with this mixture and place them one on top of the other.
Serve warm with your favorite dishes.
