De fapt nu in Ploiesti, mai exact in Chitorani, insa putini stiu de aceasta micuta localitate prahoveana. Insa cu siguranta toata lumea a auzit de resortul Casa Timis! Un loc minunat care a beneficiat de o serie de transformari de poveste in ultimii ani, devenind resortul complet: terapii wellness, masaje, yoga, piscină infinity, saune exterioare, jacuzzi, trasee de biciclete, jogging, trakking, ping-pong, fussball, plimbari cu bicicletele, foc de tabara, minigolf, locuri de joaca interioare si exterioare, outdoor gym si un splendid parc pentru copii. Sunt multe lucruri de povestit despre resort, insa eu voi vorbi in acest mic articol despre unul din restaurantele domeniului si despre minunatiile culinare pe care Chef Nico Lontras le pregateste cu atata dedicatie si disciplina. Restaurant cu specific mediteranean, “Veranda dintre Vii” isi invita oaspetii sa se bucure de o experienta culinara desavarsita, intr-o locatie incantatoare si ea supusa unui recent facelift. Beneficiind de un acoperis retractabil, spatiul isi poate schimba infatisarea intr-un restaurant in aer liber, unde atmosfera de serenitate si beatitudine se imbina armonios.
Meniul, variat si plin de savoare, este un omagiu adus ingredientelor proaspete si autentice, fiecare preparat fiind o declaratie de dragoste catre maiestria culinara mediteraneeana, purtand amprenta celebrului Chef.
Am incercat calamari fritti cu sos tartar, creveti in sos sicilian si o senzationala caracatita cu piure de trufe care s-au potrivit perfect cu un Cuvee Blanc Casa Timis 2020, un cupaj reusit din tamaioasa romaneasca, muscat otonel, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc si feteasca alba din Dealu Mare.
La desert am servit baklava cheescake, un desert pe care l-am incercat si eu aici, pe blog, in urma cu ceva vreme. Ambele, teribil de reusite! 😊 Insa trebuie sa recunosc faptul ca asocierea cu inghetata de fistic a facut ca varianta Chefului sa fie perfecta!
Am incheiat experienta cu un espresso intr-o ceasca azurie si cateva poze pentru articol.

There are many things to tell about the resort, but in this short article I will talk about one of the restaurants in the area and about the culinary wonders that Chef Nico Lontras prepares with such dedication and discipline. The menu, varied and full of flavors, is a tribute to fresh and authentic ingredients, each dish being a declaration of love for the Mediterranean culinary mastery, bearing the stamp of the famous Chef.
I tried fried calamari with tartar sauce, shrimps in Sicilian sauce and a sensational octopus with truffle puree that went perfectly with a Cuvee Blanc Casa Timis 2020, a successful blend of Romanian frankincense, otonel muscat, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and fetesca white from Dealu Mare.
For dessert, I tried baklava cheese cake, a dessert that I also tried here, on the blog. Both, terribly successful! 😊 But I have to admit that the association with pistachio ice cream made Chef’s version perfect!
I ended the experience with an espresso in an azure cup and some pictures for the article.
Stories, history, dreams, traditions, flavors, ambience, good taste, attention to details. I will definitely return to this legendary location, especially since the menu has benefited from an upgrade and there are some dishes that I can’t wait to try!
