Halloumi Toast

English version

Halloumi Toast

It’s brunch time again. And today we are trying a Halloumi Toast. Perhaps one of the best sandwiches with halloumi, baby spinach and dried tomatoes. The secret of the taste is the marinade in which we choose to prepare the cheese.

In a bowl, prepare the halloumi sauce. Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil with lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, chili flakes and thyme. Add the sliced cheese to the sauce and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

In the meantime, add a spoonful of olive oil to a pan and fry the bread slices on both sides.

Heat a non-stick pan and add the halloumi slices. Pour over the sauce from the marinated and fry until the halloumi is fried on both sides.

To serve, place baby spinach, dried tomatoes and halloumi on each slice of bread. Decorate with sprigs of thyme and serve with great appetite.

You can find the video details of the recipe here.

If you liked Halloumi Toast, I recommend you also try a Quinoa & Halloumi Bowl, Pan-fried Halloumi with roasted peppers and dried tomato pesto or Baked Halloumi in tomato and garlic sauce.
